Yes I know I have been a horrible blogger but for some reason I couldn't get on to my blog. Had a great Christmas although very tired of driving. Went to my youngest daughter's in Houston for three days, then on to San Antonio to spend Christmas with my son. Then made a meet trip with my oldest daughter to deliver Christmas presents to them on Sunday. So a LONG week. I have joined the YMCA and it's really cheap! I don't do outside working out with the cold weather so this was my option besides a gym and once I saw the price it was hands down the winner. Anyway have started taking classes and have gotten great workouts! I can see my body getting in better shape! I take Zumba, Zumba step (love this one), Y-step, Body Combat (which my daughter would probably be rolling on the floor laughing at me because it's obvious I would never make a fighter), Body Pump (weight lifting and my favorite!) and today I added Cardio groove. I'm obviously the oldest in almost all of the classes but I don't care and we are all too busy watching the instructor to pay any attention to how anyone looks!
Well here's my page. This is Brandy's bff, Megan and her family! I've been scrapping for little Gavin since he was born and am excited to find out he will be having a little brother or sister next summer!
For any of you who follow me on facebook you know my grandson has been suffering from acute renal problems. He's having an extremely slow recover - hardly been able to go to school for either blood pressure issues or severe headaches. Please keep him in your prayers. So hard to see this bouncing off the wall boy barely able to get around and do anything.
Thanks for stopping by - will try to do better from now on.

SATW and Creative Embellishments
Creative Embellishments has paired up with SATW to take their challenge. For my page I took my inspiration from several things here - the color, the beach and the word explore.
Here's my take -photo of little Gavin (adopted grandbaby through my daughter's bff's baby) during a day we spent with him on the beach of Galveston.
And some close ups of the chipboard. Here I have used some TH distress stain in tarnished brass. Then I added some Jenni Bowlin Chicken Feed to make it look more rustic. The flourish I treated with Heidi Swapp's Citron.

Creative Embellishments
Today I'm up on the Creative Embellishments blog. I wanted to share a couple of cards I made with some of the chipboard. First up is the birthday card using the Pansies chipboard. I painted them and then used some darker paint to add some dimension. For the second card I used some of the Flourish Butterfly Set 2 together with part of a Moroccan Lattice Panel set. I've show the chipboard I used and the links to the store.

Creative Embellishments
Today I'm up on the Creative Embellishments blog and I have a page for you using some of the awesome chipboard that they have available. I've used the Leafy Vine Frame, the Happy Word Set and the Distressed Crackle Stamp.
And the chipboard and stamp that I used are:

Creative Embellishments plus Scrap Africa
Today we start a new challenge over at Creative Embellishments. Please jump over to the blog to see all the inspiration that the Design Team has to show off. Here's my take on it - I was inspired by the colors and the fairies.
And some close ups!

I was also asked by Denise Van Deventer to be a Guest Designer over at Scrap Africa this month so this is what I created as my take on her sketch.

Stuck?Sketches and Creative Embellishments
Here I am today with another layout using the Creative Embellishment's chipboard combined with the current Stuck?Sketches sketch. I have these wonderful pictures of my granddaughter, Madison, who is graduating this month.
Here's the sketch:
And some closeups. I painted the chipboard with gesso first, then with acrylic paint and then dabbed some metallic rub-ons on it.
Here's the chipboard I used on it - two full flourishes - cut up some of the Flourish 12 set.
Thanks for stopping by!

CSI Case File #170 and Creative Embellishments
Another fun week with Creative Embellishments and CSI - love that I'm on both their Design Teams! This week we have a fun Case File with some bright fun colors for summer. Here's how I solved it using pictures from one of our summer rituals which is a family birthday party at the end of July for all the guy's birthday (3) that are right there at the end of the month. We meet at Becky's (step-daughter's) for a day of family fun and sun. I've used some of the Celebrate Words chippies and also one of the Flourish 27. Then I cut a section of the Triangle Panel and backed it with papers and embellishments.
Thanks for stopping by! I love hearing from you!
Here's a few close ups of the chipboard. The flourish I sprayed with Heidi Swapps Color Shine in Citron (love this) and the Words I painted red and then added red glitter to. The Triangle panel I painted red and blue and added embellishments and patterned paper.

CSI and Creative Embellishments
Hi, it's Debbie Standard up today. This month Creative Embellishments has teamed up with CSI to solve some Case Files! This week we are solving Case File #169 together with Em Stafrace's sketch. I'm on both Design Teams so this has worked for me very well! These are some pictures of my son and daughter ( the youngest) telling how hard it is to get a good picture of them together! I have used some words from the Special Moments Word Set together with the Flourish 10 (one of my favorites!)
Thanks for stopping by - your sweet words make my day!

Creative Embellishments and Sketchabilities
This month we have combined Creative Embellishments with Sketchabilities. Here's my layout using some of my granddaughter's graduation pictures.First up here's the Sketchabilities sketch we used together with the monthly Mood Board for the monthly challenge at Creative Embellishments. I took my inspiration from the photograph from the blue sky and the flowers. For my page I have used the Flourish Set 10, the Stars in my Universe Frame and the Lamp Post Set. For the twist I added a heart from the wood veneer Heart Set.
Here's some close ups. Here I painted the frame gold then added some gold glitter to the stars.
On the leaves first I painted them green and then smeared some metallic rub ons on them.
And here's the chipboard I used:
