Saturday with US and CSI

WOW along week - hard to get back in the work groove after being off a week.  Day one - singled with a busy patient.  Day two - heard from charge - will have to double you up - got a call in.  Selected the intubated patient who was BUSY yesterday for someone else to add to mine over the crazy lady who needed to be watched like a hawk.  SO I never sat down from 6:15 till 7 pm except for a 20 minute lunch break.  LONG LONG day!  Then the next day we had the stager come to the house to tell us what we needed to do so that they can do the photos.  Yes back on the market with a new realtor who we screened really well and both have good feelings about.  BUT she had several pages of things we needed to do together with some things we needed to go buy.  We have been at it all day and I still don't see the light at the end of the tunnel.  Granted we had a stager for the first time we listed it but she was better at = this is what you need to do to like clean out your closets and your shelves.  This one is totally for the photos and what the house needs to look like for the video and photos.  I love what it looks like but its TONS of work.  We had alot of comments about the house being dated and this one told us what we had to do to make sure we didn't look dated (even though the house is 13 years old).  So tucking away my mommas doilies - taking down the swag drapes and on and on! Needless to say I have done zero scrapping this week - zero - just drooled over my things.  Believe it or not the scrap room was the ONLY room that didn't need to have something done to it.  AND I know I have more stuff in here than anywhere else in the house!   Tomorrow we are taking my son and his girlfriend shopping - that ought to be expensive!!! LOL!  But fun - lunch and a good time!
But for today here's my card for the sketch over at Unscripted Sketches.

Next up is my page for the Case File over at CSI

This is my daughter, Brandy, who joined me and my hubby for a weekend trip to Galveston late this summer.  We had such a great time.  This is my kid who picks us over spending time with her friends - just totally warms my heart!  She loves the time she spends with us!

Then here's a couple of things I made with the Coredination's David Tutera Card three step.  First a cute Halloween tag and then a Halloween tag.

Thanks for stopping by!

Saturday with Unscripted Sketches and CSI

Well I've been off all week for a semi-stay at home vacation.  We went to Arlington last week to Charlie's daughter's and had a great time - ran in to some old friends and got to catch up.  This weekend we are going back for two family reunions.  In the meantime hired my son to paint my upstairs because there's the two story stairwell.  Finally decided I think I'm too old to get up on those tall ladders and scaffolding like I did ten years ago when I painted it the first time.  Well of course working for Mom and Dad isn't like "real" work to him - shows up late - leaves early.  Well today I put my foot down - I worked with him all day and did alot of it myself yesterday morning (when he didn't come at all - had more pressing engagement!)  So we are almost done - have to do another coat of part of the stairwell and then figure out how we are going to get up to paint t he middle of the stairwell ceiling and up there.  We don't have the long think boards we used last time for scaffolding so are going to have to figure something out.  Will finish up Monday - I don't want him on those tall ladders when I'm not here and we are leaving tomorrow morning sometime.  BUT it's close to done -t the room itself is done.  Next week the house goes on the market again with a new realtor - this one seems like she will work awhole lot harder than our last one did.  We had first gone with the local agent and they seemed to make no effect to show or sell it.   So we did some research this time and hopefully have someone who will really work at it.
First up here's my card for Unscripted Sketches this week.

Next up is my page for the Case File over at CSI.  Need to go over to the site to check out the entire challenge.  These girls are so amazingly talented - I feel truly blessed to be a part of their group.  I know this is straight IRL but it sure doesn't look like it here!  This is my temperamental aging cat, Tess.  The journaling is on the back. Written by the cat's perspective.
I love you -  and I expect certain things from you:
You open and shut doors for me first time I meow.
You open a can of cat food the moment you get up.  You know I have waited outside your bedroom patiently until you open the door but then I'll meow until you open the can.
I expect a new can of cat food every time I come in and just because I'm old and I forget I need you to walk me back to my food and show me there's still some there.  I know Dad jokes that you need to go tie my bib on.
You carry me in the house in the morning after you load your work things in the car.  I may have run inside already but I will come back out and patiently wait for you on the sidewalk so that you can carry me in and to my bowl.  You will not mind that I get cat hair on your navy scrubs and everyone at work will know you have held me and pick off my cat hair for you.
You let me sleep on your scrap table - as close as I can possibly get to the screen becuase I know that's where you scrap so thus that's where I have the best chance of getting petted.
You forgive me when I throw up and just clean it up.
You pet me whenever I come around looking for attention.  I'll show you how much I love you by purring non-stop- sometimes for an entire afternoon.
You understand I get scared easy and don't turn on t he washer until I'm done eating.
For all that I will love you and only you.  I accept attention from the rest of the house but it's you I love.

Thanks for stopping by.

Saturday and Unscripted Sketches and CSI

Happy Saturday - I'm up in Arlington and headed to the State Fair barring rain.  Posting early so I'll have this out on time!  Here's my card for this week's sketch over at Unscripted Sketches - love this sketch!!  Worked way too much this week - and had a class added on to that so I'm more than ready for a little down time.  Taking the next week off so hoping to be doing alot of scrapping!  Also going to meet with a new realtor this week and see if we can get this house sold!!!

Then over at CSI this week - this was our color pallet - please check at CSI for the entire Case File with the challenges.  Here's my page for it - used this adorable photo of little Gavin.

Then this week has been a week long extravaganza of excitement over at Core'dinations.  We have teamed with Heidi Swapp for a week of inspiration.  Here's my page using the Mixed Company papers from Heidi Swapp together with the Core Impressions Fancy Pants Collection - my sweet granddaughter, Madison is the subject!

Next is another page I did with my most recent Noel Mignon kit - these are my little great nieces from a birthday trip they made to Dallas where they got to buy these dolls.
Then I just got my Gossamer Blue kit and have been working through it as well.  Here are the first three pages I've done with the kit - hoping for more next week when I get back from Arlington.  First up my daughter (left) with her bff (Megan) on Megan's wedding day.

Then some photos of Megan's hubby, Kyle, with little Gavin.

Then last up is little Gavin in the car seat with his toys - such a cutie and getting so big now - almost eight months!

Thanks for stopping by!

Here's a couple of cards I created for today using of course Core'dination's cardstock

How is your weekend going??? This is my last day of five days off which I have thoroughly enjoyed!!!  Scrapped my heart out.  Today I have a card for Unscripted Sketches.  Loved this sketch

Next up I have my page for CSI this week.  I struggle with these pastel colors but once I settled on some Core'dination's papers it all came together.  My beautiful granddaughter, Madison in some photos taken by T. Hernandez.

Then still working though my last Noel Mignon kit I have another page of little Gavin.  He's just so adorable and momma takes such great pictures it makes it easy to scrap him.

Thanks for stopping by!  Your sweet words make my day!

Xyron and Core'dinations - Week long inspiration!

What could be better than a swap with Xyron!  We girls at Core'dinations have been long time lovers of our Xyron products - don't know what I would do without mine.  I use them all the time.  For these cards though I used the Mega Runner - it's awesome with Core'dination's cardstock - really adheres well which is sometimes hard after you have embossed and sanded your cardstock.

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to check out what the rest of the Design Team has done this week - there are prizes to be won for commenting!!

First up I have a page I did with Graphic 45 paper for a Special Case File S365 over at CSI. Loved how this paper was just perfect for the photo I had with little Gavin being read to by his Daddy.

Next up I got my Noel Mignon kit this week and got some time to start playing.  Here's three pages I've done - these kits are so huge I'll probably be able to do another four or more.  All pages starring Baby Gavin.

Then these last two were some I was just playing around with last week before I got the kit.  The first one is with some MME papers.

This one is with more of the Graphic 45 papers. I had gone to the CK convention in San Marcos the other week and picked up some papers from both of these companies.  Really surprised myself that I didn't buy more - guess I'm getting more selective in my old age.  I can remember Kim and I going when I hadn't been scrapping but a year or more and I wanted every single item!

 Thanks for stopping by!
