CSI - Case File 136

I'm busy packing things up.  At least we finally found a place to move to and have been approved. We are just renting here in town near Jason and Maria.  The plan is to find a home or a lot to build a home in Lake Granbury within the next year.  But it's AMAZING what all has to be cleaned and packed after 15 years.  Went and matched paint to cover nail holes in the living room only to realize that it's either colored a different paint (which I don't think I would do when I painted it the first time!) or aged different in the sun - room so back to the paint store for another $22 can of paint to paint over a half a dozen holes!  Plus a shelf in my scraproom that I have no idea is put up there and I know I didn't paint behind during the last paint color.  Fun!  At least we are through with company so I can pack up everything but what we have to have.!
Today though I did get time to sneak in a little playtime and play along over at CSI this week.  I hate missing a file!  One of the journaling prompts was about a solitary pleasure so I chose this photo of my first solo ride in my kayak down at the beach in Rockport paddling through all the massive expensive homes along the channels including George Straights home.  Could paddle right up to their backyards and see how the rich and famous live!

Thanks for stopping by - your sweet words make my day!

  3. A beautifully serene page Debbie, especially like the clouds and the bird stamping. Good luck with your move, I know it can be traumatic. As long as you have a space to scrap :D

  7. So glad you have found a new place! But ughh on the painting and patching...seems like the paint on walls always fades over time and doesn't match the touch-up color...good luck on everything!
Love your CSI page! Such an awesome photo, and a fabulous artsy design to go along. I love the mix of flowers. The inking is really eye catching, too, and those clouds just make me smile!

  8. Sounds really sensible to rent till you've found a new home! finally yay! packing is the drawback of moving yuk! but oh you'll be pleased as punch unpacking in your new place with only things you want to have and not all the old stuff that just takes up space. You're a tough cookie! finding time to scrap despite all. He he you should have paddled up and had a good peek :) Such a wonde4rful page and that photo really is something extraordinary. Good luck with the move sweetie! xoxo
