Couldn't resist solving this case yet again. I'm Guest Investigator for the remainder of this month and had already done this case but had time on my hands and decided to solve it again. This is a picture we took last week in Rockport sitting outside in the morning having coffee while the sun came up.

Cornish Heritage Farms Challenge
Today's challenge over at Cornish Heritage Farms is to create a card using circles. I have used the dots background stamp together with a digital image and sentiment all from the Cornish Heritage Farm's store. Sorry my post is up a little late - I worked the last two days and got home late.

Happy Saturday and Unscripted Sketches AND CSI
Happy Saturday - just got back from a trip to Rockport with my hubby - it was wonderful!!! Love the beach. Spent two afternoon sitting in the sun with a great breeze to keep down the heat - ran two different mornings - this morning over at Key Allegra (just down from where we stayed) which is always a fabulous run because you are either running next to the bay or by homes in the 1 M range - fabulous things to see. I'm always amazed at how much easier it is to run when I'm down at the coast running on the beach or out there at Key Allegra - so much to see! How the rich live - AND as it always amazes me these are their second homes - they don't live there year long. No who has that kind of money? I told dh when (see my confidence!) we win the lottery I want a home down there!
Today I have my card for Unscripted Sketches sketch this week. Used some Authentique on this one.
Then as another of my month long Guest Designer pages I did this one for CSI. Here's the Case challenge. You need to check out the blog - unbelievable inspiration from the Design Team! This is my grandson, Morgan, with his girlfriend, Bonnie (the Sr.) at the senior prom. His first prom as well. Photo was taken by my daughter's friend, TJ Photography, who does an excellent job - had to scrap this one!

Happy Saturday and Unscripted Sketches AND CSI
Happy Saturday - on my way up to Eastland to visit my daughter and grandkids today. Then back to work on Monday for a couple of days. I know I'm in the minority but I'm HATING to see the end of summer. I'm not ready to give up the heat and the shorts and all that goes with summer. Today I have my card for the Unscripted Sketches sketch this week. I totally forgot this was the week for a piggyback challenge so if you'd like to play along you can OR you can submit your card with just the sketch challenge as I did. For my card I used some Authentique papers - love this line!
Then continuing this month I'm a Special Investigator for the CSI challenge blog. This is week has a fabulous challenge and colors. MORE beachy things for me. This is my son taken the last time we went to the coast for him and his buddy to do some fishing. Was just a gorgeous morning and we were walking out to the pier to check on a shark he had caught the night before. Core'dination's cardstock for my base and the brick work behind it.Thanks for stopping by and please join us at both sites this week - both of these are fun challenges.

For Your Inspiration
Time for another inspirational photo challenge from For Your Inspiration! Believe it or not the background on my card is purple - it just doesn't quite look the same once I photographed it. Happy Saturday and Unscripted Sketches AND CSI
Well hope everyone had a great week. Worked Monday, Wednesday and Thursday so a little worn out. Two of the days I don't think I ever sat down. Broke my record since coming back to the ICU of not pulling out the crash cart - some days just end up like that! My Director came out and said - well I should have know it would be you! I said - hey, what are you talking about - this is the very first time since I came back that I've had to do that! When I was in ICU the first time another woman and myself were know as the Crash Cart Twins (we also happen to look alot alike!)
Today here's my card for the Unscripted Sketches challenge this week. Used some Authenticate on this one - love this line!
Then I'm Guest Detective this month over at CSI and I'm having so much fun!! Love these challenges! Here's my take for this week's challenge. I'm probably going to do another one this week - don't know what I'd do if I didn't have these to look forward to. I didn't have the coordinates when I did this one so I'll use them on one this week.
Thanks for stopping by - and be sure to check out my entry to the Design Team call for Core'dinations which is the post before this one. OH WOW I HEAR THUNDER - could we possibly be getting a little RAIN???? Be still my heart!

Core Card Creative Frenzy
What could be more exciting! A Design Team call for card making from my favorite Cardstock company Core'dinations!
Of course I had to put in for this one! I couldn't seem to stop myself once I got started - there are so many exciting paper lines to work with with Core'dination's cardstock. Here are some of my favorite tools when I'm using Core'dination's cardstock. First off my Provo Craft Cuttlebug - don't know what I would do without this!
Next up would be my Sand - It Gadget - as you can see mine is well used! Here are my cards together with some explanations on how I made each one. First up is this card made with the Gemstone's collection. AND isn't it fabulous that it comes in not only the 12 X 12 size but also the smaller 4 X 6 which is just perfect for card-making or for any small section you need on a layout. For this card I selected a base from the white collection then picked several of the smaller sheets and embossed them with my Cuttlebug and then punched out circles. I ran my circles through my Xyron sticker creater and then layered them.
I matted the strip with a piece of the grey color I had used in my circles and then I stamped directly on the paper - worked wonderfully!
Then I made a flower with a Tim Holtz embossing plate - folded it and glued it and then layered embellishments over it.
Next us is a card I made using the Core basic collections - again this comes in both the 12 X 12 sheets and the smaller packs. They have separated out into several different collections, Brights, Darks, Neutrals, Tim Holtz collections, etc. I started here with a green card base, then I used another sheet of the same color and ran it through my embossing machine with an embossing folder and then sanded it with my Sand it Gadget - wiped it off with a dust buddy and attached it to my card base. I cut a smaller sheet in white and matted it with a sheet of pink. I wrapped a ribbon around the bottom and attached it to my card base using pop up dots to add dimension.
For the flowers I used a Spellbinders flower die cut and cut several layers of the pink flowers. I followed the package directions and embossed them as well - then sanded them and layered them. I attached a brad to the centers. Then I used a piece of the Core'dination's Core Couture Glitter cardstock and again used a Spellbinder's die cut and cut and embossed the leaves. I ran the leaves through my Xyron machine and layered them and the flowers. The tag is more Spellbinder's die cuts layered, stamped and added with more pop dots to the top left of the card.
Next us is a card I made with the Glitter Silk collection I showed above here. I used a red card base - embossed the black piece and cut it into four pieces and attached to my card. I used a Spellbinder's die and cut a red scalloped circle - then a white scalloped Martha Stewart tag layered over that. Then I used the same stems I used from the above card again here. The flowers I created using some of the red glitter silk cardstock and a Die-namics die cut. Rolled them and attached them to a large glue dot and attached to the card. I used a SRM sticker for my sentiment.
This shows you a close up of the black cardstock that is embossed - just gives that glitter silk such an awesome texture.
Then just because I was having fun I made two more cards using the card bases that Core'dinations makes. For the first I used some of the fun "Dot" collection - just a simple card - layered with a punched edge and a Spellbinder's label - all just lightly sanded to show off the dots.
Then using another cardbase from the set -I matched it with the Black Magic collection and made this card. Perfect match as you can see.
I embossed the framed piece and then sanded it and added the centered die cuts and stamps. Thanks so much for stopping by and considering my entry.

Happy Saturday and Unscripted Sketches AND CSI
Happy Saturday - I'm late posting - I don't know but it seems like I'm running in circles recently. We have been debating buying a smaller house and selling this one. Found one closer to our older kids and then found another one here out by the lake but we just can't seem to make the plunge. Think we have just decided to stay here until Jason is stable and on his own feet. Don't think either of us can really image not living here - this was our dream house. BUT maybe in a year or two we will decide we can downsize. For right now this feels like the best choice.
Today I have my card for Unscripted Sketches. Authenticate for the papers on this one. Please stop over at the blog and see what all the other designers have for inspiration and then please play along!
Next I'm honored to be picked as a Special Investigator for the month of August for CSI. I love playing along with their challenges. Here's my page for the inspiration this week and here's the color and challenge inspiration that inspired me. BUT of course I have gotten addicted to playing along every week so today I did another page using the same colors and inspiration.
thanks for stopping by - your sweet words make my day!
