Tuesday and CSI

Such a fun day yesterday! Brandy and I went to my friend's house in Canyon and went kayaking for about three hours and then my girl and I went to lunch together. Made for an awesome day! Today I'm finishing up with this page and then getting ready to go back to work tomorrow. Two more days and then two more off!
Here's my page for the CSI challenge this week. Used some My Mind's Eye together with some K & Company and My Mind's Eye tags, flowers from prima, recollections and petaloo. Lots of Core'dination's cardstock - the My Mind's Eye collection and some Spellbinder's die cuts. This is my little great-niece, Katy, taking the Texas traditional photo in the Bluebonnets - families down here find this to be a tradition. Dress up the kids and get some good pictures! Happens every Spring!

Saturday and Unscripted Sketches

Another Saturday and Unscripted Sketches has a new sketch for you. Here's my interpretation. Unfortunately my four days at home are over and I'm back at work this weekend. Do two on two off thru next Monday - ugh! BUT then I think I have a wonderful six days off. Today I sat and moved paper around again and again and just couldn't get it to do what I wanted. Isn't it funny that it suddenly will just start falling in place just about the time you need to get up and get moving and get ready to go back to work. Happens to me all the time. Motivation for getting it done occurs about 6 pm and then I can roll it out - well at least in my head - need the morning to put the final touches on it.
We have been gearing up over at Core'dination to present some fabulous combos for you - I'm having sooo much fun playing with the goodies! Can't wait to show it all off.

Saturday and Unscripted Sketches

Another week with a new sketch over at Unscripted Sketches. Boy did I pull back some old papers for this one! The stamp is a Stampabilities stamp - since the double challenge is to use ink on your card. Please check out the rest of the team's cards - they are always fabulous! I'm down at the coast soaking up some rays this weekend. Went Kayaking yesterday with my friend on Canyon Lake and has the most fun I've had in a long time. I will definitely be on her doorstep alot this summer. Can't wait to go again. Brandy saw me posting it on facebook and was texting begging to come along next time she's in town!

Saturday and Unscripted Sketches

Here we are again with another week of Unscripted Sketches! Loved this with a double challenge to use stamping on your card. Pulled out some really old papers and A stamp I have had for a long time.
Today I went Kayaking- oMG! Talk about fun! I LOVED it. I had to finally call it quits - not because I was tired because I could have gone on all day long but because with my fair skin I was afraid I would be cooked and we are leaving for Corpus tomorrow and I intend to get in some beach time down there! LOVE this time off! But I'm definitely going to go again - Mac just better expect me on her doorstep every chance I get!

I LOVED this pallete and had just gotten one of these stamps from Inkadinkado and put it together with the lettering stamp I had from Prima. Loved how it turned out. Keep your fingers crossed - I'm going to go kayaking with my friend today and I've never been! But it sounds like so much fun. Then over at CSI this week this is the Case Challenge for the week. My layout is with my little great-nieces, Hailey and Katy in a field of bluebonnets. Sunday and Unscripted and CSI - Happy Mother's Day!

Sorry for posting late - we had a busy day yesterday with my birthday party. Happy Mother's Day out there to all the mothers I know - this is my official birthday as well. Some good friends from work and some of my family. Everyone has left now - Brandy back to Corpus and Kristi and her family headed back to Georgia - hated to see them go. We have had three great nights full of playing 42! My youngest grandson, Kadin, LOVES to come play in my scraproom. We had some projects going along this week. Today I'm posting this week's sketch from Unscripted Sketches as well as a page I did for the CSI challenge last week which I didn't get in on the deadline but still had fun playing along.

National Scrapbooking Day and Unscripted Sketches

Happy Saturday and Happy National Scrapbooking Day - I definitely intend to scrap today. Am finishing up a page for Core'dination's later this month. Watch their blog - we have some fabulous projects and pages to show you this month. Got so many fun goodies to play with!
I'm on the countdown to the big Birthday Party - it's GROWING! Don't know if I said it but I'm having a huge 60th birthday party and have invited a lot of the people I have worked with for the last 17 years. Since I work in the largest hospitals in South Texas and I've been there so long there are a lot of people. I'm expecting anywhere from 40-80 and every day I see more people that I think - oh I need to invite them. It's a very close knit hospital and even the house cleaning people have been there ever since they started working - some 20-30+ years! I had to stop with mostly nurses and techs and some of the mid level providers - if I had added ALL the docs I know we would never have been able to feed them all. I did ask a few of the ones I've worked with since forever but mostly my close ICU workerbees.
Today I have my card for Unscripted Sketches - I kind of flipped the sketch around, embossed some of the new 4 by 6 sheets of Coredinations Glitter and then used another sheet and used a Spellbinder's die cut to make my leaves. The flower is Prima.

Tuesday and CSI

Was a really long two days at work and I'm so excited to have a day home. Braved it this morning and went and had my hair cut off - kind of a shaggy cut - will see if I can get used to it. Then went out to WalMart to pick up all the paper goods we will need for the big party. Number's growing but just makes it more exciting! Just finished an hour and a half long bike ride and got a little scrapping in. Here's my page for the CSI color challenge this week. This is what I worked from:
