Sorry to be late with this sketch from Unscripted Sketches this week but it's been a week! Last weekend we took Brandy down to Corpus to get settled into her apartment and get everything she needed. A very expensive Target trip went along with that but she's in an happy. Her friend is also down there so between them and us bringing along Jason and Preston a good time was had. Then Charlie had surgery on his other foot scheduled for Tuesday morning - had to get up at 3:30 to get there in time. Anyway it made for a long miserable and very scary day. They took him back about 7:30 and at about 8:30 I got a call from the operating room that he had crashed on the table and they had to push several emergency drugs before they could get his blood pressure and heart rate stabilized again. Needless to say they aborted the surgery and brought him back to recovery. We spent the rest of the majority of the day in there. It was about 1:30 or 2:00 before he looked at me and I knew he was clear again. I seriously believe they just gave him too much sedation too fast for his age. They said it was the same about as last surgery but being an ICU nurse I know it can also depend on how fast it's given at his age. Anyway we decided to leave him overnight for tele monitoring and then let him get a full cardiac workup before or if he decides to go back. It's not like it's a totally elective procedure - he either does it now so he can walk without pain or eventually they will still have to take him back and amputate his toes. But it's his call - he has to live with the pain. In the mean time I had to cancel the appt to get a crown fitting but so far the temp is holding and I go in Monday to get started on that. The last two days I've worked and I think someone targeted me into the assignment from H! I ran my tail off both days but have a couple off now.
Here's my card - used one of the new images from Designed 2 Delight for this one - know it's a "loose" interpretation but this is what I was inspired to do. Have been busy working on CHA projects for Core'dinations and will share once they have picked what they want to take.
Also this is my first week on the Design Team for Sketchabilities and I'm excited to share my first layout with you - this team is so inspiring! For this page I used some Core'dination's cardstock together with some Basic Grey papers and the beautiful girl is my own granddaughter, Madision.
Thanks for stopping by!
