New Year's Eve!

Happy New Years! I'm working so don't know that I'll be doing much celebrating - got the card for today and tomorrow and I'm sure we will be busy. But today I want to share a few things. First if you stop over at the Core'dination's blog you will see that we have a new color palette for January - I LOVE it! I found this sweet picture of my granddaughter and her boyfriend and had a great time. Then because I don't think I shared this page I had another page that I did for Core'dination's with my great-nephew, Brayden, during his Make A Wish visit with Santa. Such an adorable picture I couldn't wait to scrap it.

Merry Christmas Eve and Unscripted!

Well it's cold enough here to have the spirit of Christmas for sure! I'm going to enjoy the day as I'm working tomorrow. But that's ok - it's my first year back in STICU and I figured I would be drawing the short straws on holidays just didn't expect to get ALL of them. We will have a huge "family" dinner at work - hopefully it will be a quiet day but those are few and far between. I'm thankful for my wonderful family and really missing all the family Christmas's we have had in the past.
Today I have a card for Unscripted Sketches sketch. I used a Unity Stamp for this one - loose interpretation but this is what the sketch inspired in me.


Wishing everyone a blessed Merry Christmas - I'm still struggling to get out Christmas cards and since I made them I'm hoping the post office sends them on through even though they are a little bulky!

Core'dinations - My Favorite Things

Well I'm up today at the Core'dinations blog to show off one of my favorite paper lines - the Graphic 45. I used a combination of their papers and the Core'dinations Graphic 45 papers for this one and also did a card. Stop over at the Core'dination's blog - there will be lots of give aways!

Hope you have a great start to your week. Brandy comes home from LA today - YEAH!!! Actually said she was ready to come home and was glad she moved back! SHOCK! Have a few things to share today and tomorrow I have some more of My Favorite Things with Core'dinations to share with you so come back and check them out.
First off since I made the Sketchabilities DT I just realized that they have a Cardabilities blog as well so went over to play along with their sketch this week as well. Haven't had a chance to do the layout yet but going to get to it as well.
I used some Echo Park paper here and a digital stamp (forgot whose) and a SRM sticker. Oh and just got the die cut from Die-namics for these little flowers!! Love them.


Next wanted to play along over at Less is More again this week - challenge was to use Music. This stamp was the only thing I had to go along with the theme so one more Christmas card. The stamp is a Rachelle Anne Miller from Paper Works Co., the cardstock is Glittersilk from Core'dinations.

Then this sketch caught my attention over at Once Upon a Sketch and I was inspired to made this page using the Jenni Bowlin Core'dination's Cardstock and these cute pictures of my grandkids.

Saturday and Unscripted Sketches

Well I'm working today so hope this comes up when it's supposed to. Here's my card for the Unscripted Sketches this week. Used some Smooches stamps and some Core'dination's cardstock for this one.

Thurday and For Your Inspiration

Hope you are having a great week - this is my last day before going back to work. Brandy leaves this morning for a weekend in LA - going back to do a little dance and see her friends before leaving for school in January. I have loved having her home! Today I have a card for the new inspirational photo challenge over at FYI. PLEASE take time to go and check out what the rest of the design team has for you - they are FABULOUS cards! For my card I used some Core'dinations Glittlersilk and embossed it - then stamped with a LaBlanche stamp. The sentiment is from Smooches.

Wednesday cards

Well it's rainy and I can't get inspired to get anything done but play in here this week so here's a couple of more cards I made - into simple this week I think. Ran this morning in the mist - walked about 3 miles and then ran a couple or more home = sure I will pay for it but it felt ok at the time. Random brown lab tagged me just about a block from home and went along the entire time. VERY discouraging to be jogging along and look over and the dog is just walking fast.

First card is for the sketch over at CPS this week. Core'dination's Glittersilk collection on this one together with some Smooches stamps.



Then the next one is for the challenge over at Less is More. This time I used a favorite Christmas stamp I have from Penny Black - have you noticed how many adorable Snowmen stamps there are out now? The lettering stamps are from Smooches.Thanks for stopping by!

Monday and cards

Well I'm back to work for a day today but have a couple of cards to share that I made today for a couple of sketch sites. The first one is for Sweet Sunday. For this I used one of the new digi's from Designed 2 Delight. I used some My Mind's Eye papers for this one as well.

Saturday and

Well it's the weekend again! LONG day yesterday in the ICU. Not my patient but brought in a young man from trauma and when I saw those parent's faces I couldn't help but feel a fist in my gut - my worst nightmare with my son being 19 and you known invincible! Or so they think! Then after a fairly quiet day I get the HUGE trauma that came in about 5:30 - blood dripping off the stretcher as they bring the patient up and massive transfusion and code drugs going non-stop until I got relieved at 7. Then it's sooo hard to walk away and say it's the end of my shift and someone else takes over. Didn't realize how exhausted I was until I got home BUT sad as it is that's EXACTLY why I came back to ICU. As a critical care nurse it's just those tense hectic - blood on the floor huge trauma - team working as one - life-saving work and skills that makes it all worthwhile. Unfortunately trauma exists and I love being a part of a team working to save a life.
Now for more pleasant matters - here's my card this week for Unscripted Sketches. I used some of the awesome Gemstone Core'dination's collection for this as well as some My Mind's Eye tags.

LOVE love love when I get three days off! Hate the cold though - talking myself out the door in the morning to work out is HARD! Usually end up doing it at the end of the day BUT I'm going this morning! Here's my page for the Inspirational Photo over at For Your Inspiration for the next two weeks. Something said layout to me on this one so that's where I went with it. This is my granddaughter, Madison. Cardstock is Core'dinations - Vintage and Black Magic collections.



The next is for the color challenge over at Core'dinations for November. Thought this one would stump me - I'm just a COLOR person but love how it came out. My grandson, Matthew, here - took some pictures from Kim's photos and are re-cycling them. Again - all Core'dinations cardstock here.
