First up I created a family layout starting with some cardstock from the White Wash collection.  This sheet has a turquoise  core base.  I laid it over my Score It and sanded over the ridges.  Then I layered several sheets of cardstock which I had embossed and then sanded with my Sand It Gadget and dusted off with my Dust Buddy.  I used several different Petaloo flowers on here which perfectly match my cardstock!
Next up are a couple of teacher cards I created using some of the Petaloo flowers as well as the matching ribbon.

Lastly I have a Best Wishes card.  Love the lace, flowers and leaves from the Petaloo stock!  It goes so well with my embossed Black Magic cardstock!
Thanks for stopping by and hope you enjoy the hope and win tons of goodies!

"Core'dinations Design Team Call"

Can't believe it's that time again for re-applying to this fabulous team!  Can't say enough about how great this team is to be on.  Such a great cardstock and it's so versatile! I have done a variety of layouts and projects over the years.  I have also prepared set out photos and instructions as well as video how tos.  I also love to stamp and have used the 110 cardstock for my stamping projects.  Here are some of my layouts, tags and cards to show you.  I want to show you a variety of techniques here that I have used.
For this first page I started with some Tim Holtz cardstock which is  just wonderful all by itself.  Then I embossed in sections some white cardstock which I then pieced back together as I glued it on my page.  Then I used some Gelatos  and some water to add purple to the embossed page.  I then layered several die cuts - some of which were lightly sanded to give them a weathered look.  I made flowers from die cuts which I embossed, sanded and sprayed with Mr. Huey spray.

For this first page I used some of the Black Magic.  Love the different core colors it comes it.  I scored several lines on my cardstock and then punched out some borders in a different color and sanded them with my Sand It Gadget and dusted them off with my Dust Buddy.  I created the flowers using a die cut from Spellbinder's, sanded them down and then curled them.  Then I sprayed them with some Mister Huey mist and after they dried I added them.
For this second layout I used some of the Jenni Bowlin cardstock and sanded it.  Then I embossed several different patterns on grey cardstock, sanded them, cut them in squares and then sewed them to my page.  I used the Tim Holtz shattered for my red which is awesome just used alone without embossing or sanding but can be embossed as well.  The flowers were created with die cuts and the Tim Holtz kraft cardstock.  I  sanded  them and then put them together.  I've added a close of up the flowers.  You can see that I sanded the edges before putting them together - this shows the kraft core underneath.
For this next layout I started with some Tim Holtz Seasonal cardstock.  I love the chance to use this paper as it almost creates the layout on it's own.   First I sanded it down.  Then I stained around the frame of the page and then while protecting the middle section I sprayed Mr. Huey spray mist around the stained frame.  I cut leaves from my Cameo, embossed and sanded them.  I cut a piece of another sheet of the Tim Holtz Seasonal cardstock - this time in green, sanded it and used it as my title. I added a close up of the edge on this.
For this page I had a great time scoring my paper.  I started with a point at the bottom and radiated my score lines from there. I've found that if you sand your lines while you still have the paper on the ridge on the Score-It it gives you a cleaner sanded edge.    Then I embossed and sanded a circle and added my title and photo.  The title was cut from a Silhouette die cut with Coredinations cardstock.
For this page I started with a piece of black cardstock.  I scored a frame and then sanded the outside of the cardstock from my scored marks.  Then I cut a sheet of red cardstock to fit inside this area.  I laid my cardstock over some old Creative Keepsakes circle cutting tools and sanded and moved them and sanded some more.  Then I created more circles using some cardstock which I embossed and sanded as well as some Jenni Bowlin pieces.  The Snow Fun of the title is cut from the Jenni Bowlin Vintage Brights collection.  I just sanded the letters I needed and cut them out.
Next I have a couple of cards I created.  The first I patched together different embossed pieces to create a heart shaped flag for 4th of July.
Next I raided my scraps and embossed different fall colored sheets of cardstock, dusted them off and punched out circles.  Then I just layered them over my card base, added a sentiment and a fan shaped flower I made with cardstock and a Tim Holtz embossing plate.
This last card I made using some of the Graphic 45 cardstock.  I sanded the pre-embossed cardstock to show the kraft base.  Then I used a sheet of kraft cardstock, double scored it both top and bottom and cut slits to weave my May Art's ribbon through.
For these tags I started with some fall colored Core'dinations tags.  I embossed them, sanded them with my Sand It Gadget and then using some Tim Holtz inks inked the embossed parts.  I then added some flowers and leaves I had made using die cuts, sanded and then sprayed with Mr. Huey mists.

Thank you for your consideration of my submission.  This is a fabulous team to work with!

Saturday posting with CSI!

Hope you are having a great weekend.  Met with Jason and Maria to start planning the wedding.  Because of her status she needs to get married here, then apply for her green card and then they will have the big (I mean her dad said around 300 people!) wedding in Mexico next year. Yes she's the only girl!  Today I have my page for the Case File this week over at CSI.  Loved these pictures of the kids floating the river and going over the rapids.  Looks like SOOO much fun!  Em's sketches always make it so much more fun.  I love to start with a sketch!

Then I got my copy of Scrap 365 in which I'm published this month.  Will be sharing my page with you later this month when CSI posts all of them.

Off to work an extra shift tomorrow - someone has to pay for this wedding!  Then class on Monday and work again Tuesday and then have a kayaking date on Wednesday afternoon and off to Houston on Thursday to spend the weekend with Brandy!  Have a great week!

More pages from the July Gossamer Blue kit

Just off from two days working. Had great co-workers this week but it was busy.  I was done about 4:30 yesterday lol!  Almost done with the novel (NOT really joking here!) that I have to put together to get my Staff III.  I was just eligible to apply this year after coming back to ICU.  When I came back I started as a Staff II.  I have a hard time with doing this because I find very little in it that has to do with being a good nurse and more about just how many committees you belong to and how many certificates you have etc.  BUT since I'm capped at a II I decided to bite the bullet and put it together. Now I'm sharing some pages I did with my July Gossamer Blue kit.  This had alot to do with traveling so pulled out our recent trip to Florida and more of Jason's trip to Mexico this spring.
Part of the digitals was a pie die cut so I used it to create this.
Then these photos were from Jason's trip to Mexico.
And then I've had these cute pictures of little Gavin on my desk for awhile so decided to use them on this page.
Thanks for stopping by!  Your sweet words always make my day!

Posting again!!! Happy Saturday!

Wow I've been a bad blogger lately.  Have gone to check out everyone else's page but haven't blogged myself.  Probably due to the fact that last week I worked six out of ten days and it literally kicked my butt!  WAY too much for me!  I've had four days off but they have flown by and now I'm headed back tomorrow for two more.  My daughter was here Wed, Thurs and Friday.  My granddaughter, Madison, had to have some major surgery on her elbow that she broke three years ago and never healed right.  It was an ALL day affair.  Got there at 7:30 - they didn't take her into the OR until about 11:30 and then it was a 3 1/2 hour surgery and recovery after that.  So needless to say we didn't even head home until five o'clock traffic and it was clear across town.  LONG day.  The surgeon was happy so we are too. I'm back to walking again and up to 3 1/2 miles now.  I do ok as long as I wear a tennis shoe - still hard to walk in flip flops.
So some pages I've done recently.  First up is a Case File CSI did in Conjunction with ARTastic.

Next is last week's Case File #130.  Love this line from Core'dination's Tim Holtz called Seasonal and use is whenever I can for the holidays' it covers. I know I already scrapped these pictures for Core'dination's 4th of July page but couldn't resist them!  They were so darn cute!

First two pages I've done with my July kit from Gossmer Blue - little Gavin.

And this happened yesterday!!! My baby boy asked his girlfriend to get married!  Love this girl - couldn't have asked for more for my son!

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy 4th of July!

Happy 4th of July - I'm of course working so probably picking up the pieces of everyone else's fun day!

I have a page to share using Core'dinations Tim Holtz Seasonal collection.  Love when the holiday falls on one of the season's covered by Tim Holtz Seasonal collection.  Makes the page just fall into place.! I used some White Wash for my clouds and some May Arts Ribbon for my trim.  The adorable little subject is Gavin - our adopted grandson from my daughter's bff!  Now Dr. Mom!  Just graduated from medical school and is starting her residency.. So proud of her!

Have a happy and safe 4th!

Mid-week blogging and catching up!

Well this is proving to be a long week for me.  Worked Sun, Mon, now Thurs, Fri and then again Mon, Tues.  Two days off between just isn't enough for me to catch up and rest up!  Don't know how this worked out the way it did but I'm tired just thinking about it!  BUT we got an estimate today and are going to have all our bathroom mirrors framed - can't wait.  Just putting the sample up there makes all kinds of difference!  Next to get some bathroom remodeling done.  Whatever it takes to get this house sold.  Had an offer this week but it was so weak it was obvious the people didn't have the money to buy it.
First of all to catch up with CSI.  Here's my page for the special Case File 129 - being as Core'dinations was the sponsor again this week my page is done entirely with Core'dination's cardstock.  For this I used the Black Magic collection which has the colored background which shows through with sanding and embossing!  Love it!

Next up is a special Case File CC-2 and here's my page for this one.  Photo from our recent trip to Florida.
Then here are a couple of Core'dination's pages I haven't shared yet.  On this first one I have used three different techniques - I used a circle behind my Black Magic paper and went over it with my Sand it Gadget to show the core.  I embossed on my circles and then I also crimped some of my strips.
Then this page I have done using the brights collection - love how it's just perfect for my photo.
Thanks for stopping by!
