Well Happy Tuesday - just got back from the beach yesterday afternoon. One more day before I go back to see if they will clear me to go back to work. Getting better - it's been slow but definitely improving. AND what I went in for to get fixed - got fixed! Ok love sketches so did two of the Card sketches that I really like. The first is the CPS sketch.

Then I also did the sketch for Card Patterns - I did this with some of the goodies I got in my September kit at IAAS - which was full of all these yummy embellishments - Lynn outdid herself.

I also wanted to share a couple more of the projects I did with the September kit at IAAS.
The first is my son, Jason, with his friends, at their first prom last year. Definitely cheaper to send a boy to prom than a girl and it was so much fun taking Jason and Preston to get their tuxes and everything they needed.

In the September kit at IAAS there are all these yummy embellishments I was telling you about - the gems - the ribbon, flowers, chipboard and lace. Could hardly wait to make a tree with the gems - was the first thing that popped into my head when I saw all the goodies.

Thanks for stopping by!

Well I'm still on the card kick - decided to play with the new Copic markers I got at Hobby Lobby the other day some more. I hear that you really need a class to learn how to really use these the way you are supposed to but have to say that I'm having a pretty good time going in stupid! I'll have to look into finding something around here because I've seen some pretty gorgeous work when they are done right. But since I've been as much a stamp hoarder as I am a pp, flower, let's see ribbon, letter sticker, etc hoarder I decided I wanted to try to use them more. So here were some of the early results:

This first one is using a Hero Arts stamp set I have had sitting here for I don't know how long mixed with a Michael's stamp ( you know those $1.00 stamp sets you just can't resist but seldom use??)
Then this started out to be about the core'dinations but after I got the core'dinations part of it done it just seemed to need something more and I LOVE these Cornish Hen stamps (Kim Hughes rocks stamps may I say!) So I added them to the front of the card and loved how it came out.

Then because I had a stack of 3bugsinarug paper sitting here trying to motivate me I made this little birthday card. Loved these colors in this paper line.

And last of all I was going through my Dimensional stickers and found this cute little hat and purse and came up with this idea. The Glitz was the perfect paper for a glamour card don't you think? Needless to say Brandy loved this one! - LOL! Imagine that my little shopaholic!

Thanks for stopping by! I'm so missing all the girls at CMK - we have all hung there for so long I'm kind of lost without stopping in there to say hi at the end of the day. Have to find a new home base I guess. Today I've pulled out my new yummy IAAS kit to play with. The kit is centered around "friends" so I'm desperately hitting everyone up for some friend's photos to use. Course right off the bat I made a card. Lynn outdid herself with the embellishments this month! Don't know if I have enough paper to use them all up but there's plenty of paper too. Lots of inspiration here to work with!

Ok well today I decided to do some Card sketches so went to three of my favorite card sketch sites and found some great mojo. The first sketch is from Triple the Sketch and here's my take on the sketch this month. Today I bought some of the Copic markers that Carrie let me know were on sale at Hobby Lobby so I had to play with them of course. Thanks again Carrie for the hint - I had never seen them there before but I was always looking in the scrapbook section not the Art section.

Next sketch I found came from the CPS blog - always loving their sketches! Here's my take on their sketch. Again I was playing with my new Copic markers! Like coloring when you were a little kid - it's addicting!

The third sketch place I visisted was the Card Patterns. Loved this sketch and had fun playing with this paper. First time I've tried to use a rub-on on a ribbon but loved how it came out.

Thanks for stopping by - hope you have a great day!

Wanted to show off some of the core'dinations projects I have been recently working on (mostly done before I had surgery just hadn't posted yet). The first four are Halloween cards using the Black Magic core and different Cuttlebug embossing folders. Just got this first folder and LOVE it. I almost can't pick up any scrappy supplies anymore without thinking how I can use the core'dinations papers with it. They definitely add that extra something to anything you do.

Next comes this little card I made using some Memory Makers small scalloped papers. I added a Glitz rub-on as well as some Heidi Grace rub'ons and a big bow. And I've had these funky prime flowers I've just been dying to use on something and this was perfect. And so ok - no core'dinations on this one but really tried to figure out how to put in on there - lol!

This card I made yesterday - done with the new JenniBowlin/core'dinations papers which are just so pretty. Then I added a piece of core'dinations navy which I had embossed with a Fiskars embossing folder (my favorite one) and added this ribbon I got the other day that feels like a big old rope.

For this page I had just got this beautiful picture of my little great-niece, Katy (who has my coloring, blue eyes and the hint of red hair) and it was just so pretty. While I was planning on using the JenniBowlin papers I happened to see the Webster's Pages piece (a favorite manufacturer of mine) laying on a table (yeah yeah yeah - in my messy scraproom - but who knows where inspiration comes from!) and together with this piece of Crate paper together worked for this page. Also used a Fiskars punch there along the right hand side. And my favorite letter stickers from Webster's.

Last of all is a page I did with Jillibean ( another one of my favorite manufacturers) and the core'dinations papers. I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder around the edges and then used my Creating Keepsakes circle cutter as a tool to emboss the hat.

Thanks again for stopping by! Hoping everyone has a wonderful week.

Just some cards I've done recently with core'dinations and different products. The first two are with 3 Bugs, the next one with Jillibean and the purple one with core'dinations only, the last with core'dinations and some Dream Street. Loving the core'dinations. Actually don't know how I ever did anything without it. It's just so versatle and seems to add just that extra something to a card or page. Gradually getting around a little better. At least I've been able to keep something down except water for the last day and a half so that's progress. And I'm out of bed which is even more progress.

Well day two from my surgery and I've finally managed to get out of bed for a little while although I still can't keep anything in my stomach. I don't think the pain pills and I agree but can't do without them. I did get up long enough to take a picture for the CPS #130 sketch and post it though. Will hopefully be improving daily. I still can't believe I slept almost ALL of yesterday and still slept last night but I did.

Ok I'm off to the hospital tomorrow for surgery on my back - they found this big cyst on my spine which has been putting pressure on my L5 nerve causing me to have pain down the side of my right leg and hip. It has been misdiagnosed for a long time so I have been going through therapy and treatments and finally they checked out my spine and there it was bigger than Dallas. So I'm off tomorrow to get rid of it and get back on the road. Check with you all and show off more work when I get back.
