Then next up is my page for the Case File at CSI. This Case file had me turning to a picture of my Grandmother's Ivy which we have managed to keep alive for over a 100 years since her family brought it over from Germany. This is really an accomplishment since it's really very delicate. I used some Core'dination's cardstock together with some really old Sandy Lion papers which just were perfect for this. I did some paint dabbing and masking which is stretching my comfort zone but I'm trying to learn.
Journaling: Journaling: This is some ivy that my grandmother brought over to the United States from Germany when they came over more than 100 years ago. She always had some in her formal living room which was on the North side of their farmhouse where it thrived. My mother took some cuttings from it and when I got my own home I took some cutting from it as well. I have managed to keep it alive and thriving even when everyone else struggled with it. The vnes are extremely fine and it can't be allowed to trail and ge too long like some ivy becuase it will kill the underlying vines. It doesn't like direct sun and is great to put in a room that gets morning indirect light and also LOVES artificial light. Every time I trim it back I take a big bunch to work and share it. The trauma department now has it growing on everyone's desk. I love knowing we have preserved something so special from my Grandmother's childhood that we can continue to pass down and remember.
Then here's two more just because pages - the first one is mainly My Mind's Eye papers and again, Baby Gavin.
The last one is again Baby Gavin using Bo Bunny papers I ran across while going through my stash - wish I had known they had a DT call out recently - would have loved to try out for that.
Thanks for stopping by!
