Happy Saturday and Unscripted Sketches and CSI

Hope you are all ready for the holidays.  We leave this morning to visit relatives for the holidays.  My baby boy is headed to Colorado for Christmas with his friend and family - first year we have been apart!  Hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas.

Here's my card for Unscripted Sketches this week.  Used some Basic Grey for this one.
Then over at CSI this week this is our new Case File.  You really need to come over here and see the inspiration that this Design Team give out - a very talented group of women that I am so humbled to be a part of.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a wonderful Christmas!

Happy Saturday with Unscripted Sketches and CSI

Happy Saturday - hope everyone is warm.  Was so stunned by the horrible tragedy yesterday.  Just cannot imagine how anyone could possibly just go and kill innocent children or for that matter adults - just not within reason.  I bleed for those poor families and their grief.   You expect your child to be safe at school when you take them there - not something as heartless as this happening especially in a small town.
I have two projects for you today.  Have spent my weekend working on projects for CHA and Core'dinations - love it when I play with nothing but cardstock - gets the creative juices going.  Plus I'm on the David Tutera DT as well as am working on those too. Had Christmas with my youngest today since he's spending Christmas in Colorado with a friend and his family.  Will really miss him being here!!
This is my page for CSI this week.  This is Brayden who is one of our family miracle children.  He's been through three open heart procedures together with many other procedures yet he is now a happy little 6 year old with a wonderful cheerful disposition and is just as smart as he is cute.  We feel truly blessed. He was born with two major heart defects.  He's my sister's second daughter's oldest son.  My second daughter's oldest son was also born with a major heart defect but was lucky enough to only have to go one open heart procedure the day he was born (can I believe I say lucky but after what Brayden has gone through maybe is was) and he's now a healthy 15 year old. For my page I inked some ranger ink and then stamped it with some old Fancy Pants stamps, then  distressed some Core cardstock and added more paper which I again stamped.

Then for Unscripted Sketches this week I have we have not only the sketch but an additional challenge of doing something with the circle making it pop, open or something different.  I layered circles and then added my sentiment.

    Core'dinations and Scor pal

Core'dination's DT has been working with the girls from Scor Pal to create some inspiration for you.  Here I have made a layout and three cards using Core'dination's cardstock and my scor pal.  For the first layout I have used some White Wash and scored and sanded it in several different ways and then cut some Spellbinder's flowers and scored and sanded them and then layered them.  Used some Queen & Co embellishments and some Bella Blvd. buttons.

Next I have a card using some of the Chocolate Box collection, a May Arts Ribbon as well as some Queen & Co. string and a David Tutera tag.
Another card using the Chocolate Box collection, again with May Art's Ribbon and a David Tutera tag.
For this card I used some Glitter Silk together with some Black Magic which I scored and sanded.  I added some May Arts Ribbon and a David Tutera tag.

Please be sure to check out the Core'dination's blog for more inspiration this week. Thanks for stopping by!

    Unscripted Sketches and CSI!

Thanks for stopping by - off today to go watch one of our Grandson's play for the state championship!  So excited.  Then back to work for two on one off and another one on - UGH!  Getting too old for this!  Been working like a dog getting this house showable. Done - well pretty well done with all the painting.  Still want to go through attie things and debulk.  I am already tired of this - want to relax and enjoy instead of clean, clean, clean!
Today I have my card for Unscripted Sketches - loved this sketch - please stop and visit the rest of the DT blogs to see all their inspiration!

Than over at CSI this week you can find this Case file - definitely a challenge and just so much fun!

    Thanks for stopping by!

    Core'dinations and Simple Stories

This week Core'dinations is pairing with Simple Stories to bring you projects mixing these two manufacturer's lines.

Today I wanted to show you mine using the Harvest Lane Line from Simple Stories. This is the perfect line to scrap all those Thanksgiving  photos you just took  last week and all those great outdoor, Fall photos.  The colors are so rich and the patterns are classic Simple Stories with their fabulous prints and textures.
For this first layout, I paired Harvest Lane with some Tim Holtz Kraft-Core. I took her sander and sanded gently over the surface of the cardstock to give it that subtle, sanded look. Love that! The Tim Holtz Kraft-Core matches perfectly with Harvest Lane.

For this next one I used some the new Tim Holtz Seasonal collection -isn't it fabulous!!!

Then I have a couple of cards - for this one I used a Darice embossing folder which I love.

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to go to the Core'dination's blog to see more inspiration from the rest of the Design Team!

Saturday with Unscripted Sketches and CSI

Happy Saturday!  Worked my tail off yesterday in ICU - on the way home I saw that there's a full moon - that explains it!  Off today and back tomorrow for two more - UGH!  Today working more on getting through the list of things the stager suggested we do to prepare our house to show.  LOTS of work - nothing really major just lots of work!  Today I have my card for Unscripted Sketches.

Then over at CSI this week we had another great Case File although this one really racked my brain to come up with something.  Finally decided to use this photo of Chocolate Chip cookies which are my only cookie indulgence.  My mother bakes them every year for Christmas and it's been our tradition to fill a big plate of them for Christmas morning while we are opening gifts - oh and we share one or two with Santa on a special plate the night before.

    Thanks for stopping by!

    Core'dination's 2nd Hard Core Crop!!!!

Welcome to the 2nd Hard Core Crop! We are bringing in the Holiday season with challenges designed
to get you inspired to create for the Holidays. Please head over to the Coreblog for crop rules. And we have the Facebook crop page for you to chat and hang out with fellow Hard Core Croppers so make sure
you head over there, too. You never know when challenges or giveaways will pop
    up over there!
Today I have created for you three cards using the David Tutera line as well as some fabulous May Arts Ribbon.  I used the ribbon on one of the cards as well as a layout. I used some of the Step 3 products that David Tutera line has creates to make these holiday cards.  You can see the pictures showing how to put them together.  I also created a layout using some of Tim Holtz fabulous Seasonal Impressions Pack and some of the awesome May Arts ribbon.  I'm going to select a random winner. I will be giving away these fabulous prizes:

      From May Arts: http://www.mayarts.com/blog/

ALSO!!!               TWO packs of our Cut & Emboss series.

First off my cards:  This first card uses the Size A card - I then cut down a Step 2 B/C to fit the card and added the Step 3 embellishments that I chose.  On this card I added some of my favorite May Arts ribbon - love the big pretty bows this ribbon creates.

Next I have another card this time using the Size B/C Step 1 card base and envelope. I layered a Step 2 B/C layer and then added my choice of Step 3 embellishments.  I ran them through my Xyron to add adhesive.

For my last card I used some of the gold Step 1 B/C card base and envelopes.  I added another Gold Step 2 layer.

Next I have a layout for you using the Tim Holtz Seasonal Impressions which I ADORE!!! There are several different colored/layered sheets for each holiday and they just make the page fall together.  I threaded my May Arts ribbon through my page and tied it in a bow.  I also used some more of it on my little tag.

So create a card or layout using Core'dination's and ribbon and link it up here for you chance to win the prizes I have shown!
Challenges must use the Linkinz below. If you do not have a blog, please feel free to use Photobucket or Flickr or any other photo sharing sight that provides links. Saturday, November 17, 2012

Happy Saturday!! Hope your day is good.  Been bleak around here - finally went to the OBGYN ER on Thursday to find out I had a raging bladder infection that had worked itself up to my kidneys.  Talked them out of keeping me which probably wasn't the best idea but after several hours sitting I was so miserable I just wanted to go home to my own bed which has pretty well owned me since.  I don't every remember sleeping this much EVER.  I can be up for about an hour before I'm forced back to bed.  I'm sure the antibiotics will work soon.  I have never in almost 18 years at the hospital called in sick and it almost killed me to have to do it.
On to more pleasant things the decorator came by the other evening and went through the house to tell us things we needed to do to make the house the best it can be to be marketed.  Really wasn't too bad - move this, Martha Stewartize this, clean this out - etc.  BUT about five hand written pages full of it.  Charlie's made alot of headway but I'm frustrated because I can't get anything done - but Brandy will be here Wednesday and hopefully I'll be on the mend by then!
Today I have my card for Unscripted Sketches - this is the week we put a twist on it and add something embossed.  Being a Core'dination's gal this is right up my little alley.  Here's my card.

Next is my page for this week's Case File  at CSI  - I had fun with this.  I actually found the stencil on a rack at Hobby Lobby.  This is my little great - niece, Katy, and my great-nephew, Brayden, who are very close in age and great friends. Journaling reads about 18 wonderful things about cousins.

    Thanks for stopping by.

    Saturday, Unscripted Sketches and CSI

Happy Saturday - winding down my week - getting ready to go back to work tomorrow.  Late posting today but finally realized it's time.  Here's my card for Unscripted Sketches this week.  Used a Smooches stamp and some Authenticate papers.

Next up is my layout for this week's Case File over at CSI.  Loved the color palette and the case file encouraged me to take some pictures of my home which I'm sure I will appreciate soon as we are putting our Dream House on the market.  We built this 13 years ago but had two kids still at home and the house was always full of kids.  Now both of them are grown and have moved and we rattle around here.  So we are putting it on the market and headed up farther north in Texas to be closer to some of the older kids and the grandkids.

Thanks for stopping by.  I'm working like crazy to not only get the house ready but to try to get ahead on some of my scrappy commitments - just seems like I'm spinning my wheels lately!
