Wednesday blogging

Late posting this week - went to Fort Lauderdale for a long weekend and had a blast.  Lots of beach time and sun.  Rained every day for a couple of hours but not enough to ruin anything.  Did lots of walking and lots of eating and sunning!  Loved it.  So many pretty flowers and trees there.
Here's my page for the CSI challenge this week.  Core'dinations is a sponsor this month so my layouts are entirely cardstock from their products.  For this page I started with a sheet of purple from the Tim Holtz Shattered collection.  Then I embossed some white cardstock in sections and added some purple gelantos.  I then layered embellishments I made from cardstock - sanding some as well.  Then I created all my flowers from cardstock and put it all together.  The beautiful girls are my daughter (left) and her two nursing school (although different schools) friends.  The girl on the left danced with Brandy for years when they were younger.

Next are some more pages I did with my Gossamer Blue kit.  The first is for Maria (my son's girlfriend) - a beautiful photo of her and her mother.

Next up is Brandy (left) again with some of her friend's out having fun.
The last is more from Jason and Maria's trip back in April to visit her parents in San Luis, Mexico.  These were all taken at her parents home.

Then how about a couple of 4th of July cards - all with Core'dination's cardstock!

CSI and Gossamer Blue

Another week and another wonderful Case File over at CSI.  This month Core'dinations is one of the sponsors so as one of their Design Team members I will be acting as Double Agent.  All my pages will be done with Core'dinations cardstock.  Hope you enjoy these beautiful papers.  I really enjoy doing a page entirely with cardstock.  I've added a few embellishments but even the swirls and most all of the flowers are entirely made from cardstock.  The wedding pictures are from Megan and Kyle.  Brandy has been bff's with Megan since they started college 8 years ago and was nanny to their baby Gavin.

Next up are some pages I've been knocking out with my new Gossamer Blue kit.  The first one is from May's kit.  The rest from the June kit.  And I have ton's left to do.  Love Lori's kits.
First up another couple of pages about Gavin.  This kid is so darn cute!

Then a couple more pages from all the vacation pictures Jason and Maria brought back from their trip to Mexico City and San Luis to see her family.

Thanks for stopping by!

Saturday, Core'dinations and CSI!

This week starts a special month over at CSI as Core'dinations is sponsoring CSI for the month.  Please come play - I'm sure there's some awesome Core'dination's prizes to be won.  So as a result this month my layouts will be done totally with Core'dination's cardstock.
On the personal side I'm working today and have to work again Mon/Tues.  This is a major load for me after being off for two months and only being at work a total of four days so far.  The last one was a doozy as I walked in and saw I was in CHARGE!!!!! I have hardly found things in the new unit - still have this torture boot on and I'm in CHARGE?????  Except for walking miles and miles it actually went fairly well.  And true to form had four empty beds in the morning - none when I left with a waiting list to get in.  Susan (the director) loves me - rest of the nurses who picked up those four patients not so sure lol!  I'm notorious for having a black cloud.
On a bright note - went kayaking for the first time this year with my BFF.  It was awesome!  Can't wait to go again!

Ok since I forgot to post from last week we had another special file Case File 365-6 which I LOVED.  Here's my page for it.  I loved this picture I found among the photos that Jason and Maria took while they were in Mexico.  Such a tender picture of my little boy putting a flower in Maria's hair.  Shows how much he has grown up!  The background is done by sanding down a sheet of Core'dination's cardstock - love love the look it gives your paper while just using cardstock!

This week's Case File had more yummy colors to work with.  Another photo of my son and his girlfriend on a recent weekend day trip we all made to Gruene.  Look at my sweet boy carrying my bag because I was on crutches!  Look close and you will see I used NO patterned paper -only cardstock - my flowers, leaves - yep all cardstock!

Thanks for stopping by!  Your sweet words make my day.  I'll let you know if I live through the next four days!
