Monday and cards

Well I'm back to work for a day today but have a couple of cards to share that I made today for a couple of sketch sites. The first one is for Sweet Sunday. For this I used one of the new digi's from Designed 2 Delight. I used some My Mind's Eye papers for this one as well.


Then I did the sketch over at Card Patterns. For this one I used some more of the Core'dination's Glitter Silk and some Smooch's stamps. Thanks for stopping by!

Saturday and

Well it's the weekend again! LONG day yesterday in the ICU. Not my patient but brought in a young man from trauma and when I saw those parent's faces I couldn't help but feel a fist in my gut - my worst nightmare with my son being 19 and you known invincible! Or so they think! Then after a fairly quiet day I get the HUGE trauma that came in about 5:30 - blood dripping off the stretcher as they bring the patient up and massive transfusion and code drugs going non-stop until I got relieved at 7. Then it's sooo hard to walk away and say it's the end of my shift and someone else takes over. Didn't realize how exhausted I was until I got home BUT sad as it is that's EXACTLY why I came back to ICU. As a critical care nurse it's just those tense hectic - blood on the floor huge trauma - team working as one - life-saving work and skills that makes it all worthwhile. Unfortunately trauma exists and I love being a part of a team working to save a life.
Now for more pleasant matters - here's my card this week for Unscripted Sketches. I used some of the awesome Gemstone Core'dination's collection for this as well as some My Mind's Eye tags.

Monday and Basic Grey/Core'dinations

Good Monday Morning!

This is going to be a GREAT week. Core'dinations is kicking of December with BasicGrey!

Saturday and Unscripted Sketches and Designed 2 Delight

This week over at Unscripted Sketches we have a really simple sketch going - please join us. I used some Core'dinations Gemstones collection for mine and some stickers from a My Mind's Christmas collection.



Then over at Designed 2 Delight this week we have a challenge going on to use glitter on our cards so I made this card using of Faith's cute images. Papers are My Mind's Eye.

Friday card

I did this for the Color Q challenge this week. I've had this stamp forever and never used it yet but it worked for this.

LOVE love love when I get three days off! Hate the cold though - talking myself out the door in the morning to work out is HARD! Usually end up doing it at the end of the day BUT I'm going this morning! Here's my page for the Inspirational Photo over at For Your Inspiration for the next two weeks. Something said layout to me on this one so that's where I went with it. This is my granddaughter, Madison. Cardstock is Core'dinations - Vintage and Black Magic collections.



The next is for the color challenge over at Core'dinations for November. Thought this one would stump me - I'm just a COLOR person but love how it came out. My grandson, Matthew, here - took some pictures from Kim's photos and are re-cycling them. Again - all Core'dinations cardstock here.
