These papers are just amazing to work with - a little sanding and you get this awesome Kraft core showing through - I was really proud of myself for picking out the purple and LOVING how it sanded. There's every color you want to work with too. The beautiful girl is my daughter, Brandy. Her shirt inspired the purple and her gorgeous blue eyes inspired the blue.

Saturday and Unscripted Sketches

Hope everyone had a happy and safe holiday. I worked up in the ICU on Thanksgiving day as we traditionally celebrate on Friday for the ease of our family getting here but was busy working away with trauma when I get a call from my sister that my mother had been in a car wreck. As she's 84 now this was scary (especially knowing how poorly this age patient does in t he ICU). Luckily she wasn't hurt too badly - mostly bruised and shaken up but it totaled her car so know she was hit pretty hard - young girl didn't see the light probably texting and hit her and another car. Hospital trip and full scan but luckily nothing broken. Today we had a full house full of family and lots of good food. Fabulous weather so a wonderful day.

Here's my card for the Unscripted Sketches sketch this week. Going a little summery but this stamp called to me and so did these papers!

Unscripted Sketch

Sorry I'm late with this post but here's my card for the sketch this week over at Unscripted Sketches. There's a double challenge to use no patterned paper - well for me that's easy - just pulled out some Core'dination's cardstock. Thurday and For Your Inspiration

Three days off - fabulous! BUT right off the bat my internet wasn't working - so first off to Best Buy to get another router - no go - wouldn't work. I knew I was probably at the end of my DSL box but called and sure enough - had to take it in and get a new one and NOW I'm back in service! SO in the meantime I finished painting all the baseboards and doors in my bathroom - tomorrow I go get paint for my hall and then next week decorating for Xmas! Got a huge houseful coming for Thanksgiving and can't wait - want to have all the lights up for the kids.
Today I have this card for the inspirational photo over at For Your Inspiration. I'm having so much fun with these photos - every month I struggle with what should I do but usually love how it comes out. Monday, Core'dinations and Pink Paisley

Today is the first day of the Pink Paisley and Core'dination's Design Team reveal. Please join us all week not only at the Core'dination's blog but on Facebook as well to see all the fabulous projects that the Design Team has prepared using all these fabulous products. I have three layouts here and LOVE not only their papers but the Coredination's cardstock that goes with them.
I'm excited - finished painting my bathroom - just have to do the baseboards and doors and I'll be done in there. Lots more to do (we have lived here 12 years and just time for a facelift!) but another day another project.

The adorable subject of the first one is my granddaughter, Madison.

Saturday is FINALLY here!

Happy Saturday - the last two days at work really kicked my butt - I'm T I R E D! So glad there's a weekend here. Hoping to get my bathroom painted but will see how much ump I have. Got a little to show you but come back next week because Core'dinations has a big celebration to show off our new line of Pink Paisley cardstock and their fabulous papers! I have had so much fun with this line!

Happy Saturday once again

Today I have a card for you from the Unscripted Sketches. Got my new Paper Smooches stamps in and wanted to play with these "guy" images. Please join us this week and play along - simple sketch and loads of ways to make it your own!

I'm running low - they have me on for two - 12's on - two off - thinking for sure the three off in between is going to be what it takes to keep me going. BUT I got my first full check back in the ICU and liking it - a little more money for 10 hours less work a week!
