Saturday again!

WOW another LONG week - trauma is on the rise this summer and then you add in that it's July (new interns and each resident moves up to a new and more stressful position). On top of that my Father in Law (from my first marriage but my only father in law) died on Wed. He had been beating the clock with his heart for a year or two but fell in the bathroom - on Coumadin- and died of a massive head bleed.I will miss him dearly. Funeral is next Thursday. My middle daughter and her family should be here from Georgia about Wed. Then we all leave again for Fort Worth for my husband's birthday party on Friday.
This week over at Unscripted Sketches this sketch inspired me to tackle a page with it. I like never do a layout with a card sketch but that's where this one led me. Everything is Core'dinations - love this background paper - Cosmo Cricket collection.

Then over at For Your Inspiration Steph has this beautiful photo for inspiration. Here's my interpretation of it.

I have tons to get done this week and hoping to find time to do it all.

  1. Such a great layout and that card is so pretty!

  2. Ohh gosh, Debbie! Both the layout and your card are so lovely! I love the embossing textures on your page and I think it's great that you were inspired to to the layout rather than a card. The Fall inspiration piece is just dreamy and your card is perfect.

I am very sorry about your FIL's passing... I know it must be difficult! You have my thoughts and prayers!

  3. I know how crazy busy you are Debbie and such sadness too :( However you are still pulling out all the stops on the challenges - both are great.

  4. Wow that sounds crazy. Sorry to hear about your ex FIL. I am sure you will enjoy spending more time with your girls too.

Your card and Lo are fantastic. :)

  5. I'm sorry about your father-in-law, that is so sad.

So glad you were able to create beautiful work....that always helps.

  6. Great LO!
    So sorry about your FIL.

  7. Hugs to you, Debbie, during this sad and ultra busy time for your family! In spite of it all, you still manage to create lovely cards and pages! If you're like me, paper crafting is terrific therapy and good for the soul! :-)

  8. Hi Debbie these are both terrific what a totally fabulous LO for the first one and love the colours of the second, super as always.

  9. Debbie- so sorry to read about your FIL. Prayers to you and your family. You have so much on your plate right now. I hope you are able to find some down time soon at your husband's party. Your layout is fabulous and love your card. Safe travelling. Amy

  10. Oh dear Debbie sorry about your bad news & my condolences to you at this difficult time. Beautiful layout & love how you translated that inspiration photo into that wonderful card.
