Saturday's Design Team Cards

First off I have my card for the Unscripted Sketches sketch this week. This had an added color challenge to go along with it. I didn't use to like color challenges (thought they were hard ) now I'm in love with finding new colors that work together. For this I used some core'dinations cardstock, Core line and Vintage line as well as a piece of Scenic Route and a Unity Stamp as well as a new Recollections stamp I picked up the other day.



Next are a couple of card I did this week for the digi challenges over at Designed 2 Delight and the Design Team Blog Card's Idea. Join us this week and next week you can get a free digital image. Faith has been on a roll with fabulous new images.

For Your Inspiration

For the second inspirational picture from For Your Inspiration I wanted to show you my card interpretation of this picture. I used some Core'dinations papers for this - the Black Magic just seemed perfect to bring out the black and the pinks and blues in the picture. Saturday cards!

Well I'm down at the coast this weekend for Spring Break - ought to be really fun with all the teenagers but we still have one and feel safer watching him then letting him go off alone. So hopefully this will be our last year of this. But my dh and I will enjoy ourselves anyway. I have a few cards today and a reminder that the second challenge over at the new For Your Inspiration Blog will be coming up next Thursday. Please come join us and see all the fabulous work the designers have created.

For my first card I have a card done with one of the new images Faith has put out for Designed 2 Delight.
For my card I used some Core'dinations cardstock - stamped on the back side and then sanded the texture on the Shamrocks. The sentiment is also with the same collection.


The next card is for the sketch this week over at Unscripted Sketches. I used a Digital Stamp and some Echo Park papers on this together with Core'dinations cardstock.

Mid week and CPS

Already been a busy week but I am getting more time for card making now that I'm done with the studying! Today I have a card for the CPS sketch using some Echo Park and a Unity Stamp and a SRM sticker.

How about some Sunday posting

Beautiful day here - went over to Gruene for lunch and then just walked around the antique shops. Found this old double washtub that will be perfect for potting plants on the back porch. Bought and dh will go get it later this week. Have a few projects done but have so many more I want to do. But for now heres a page I did for the color combo this week over at Color Combo Galore. I might also say I just got my first shipment from Core'dinations of some of the new papers they came out with at CHA. What can I say there are not enough hours in a day to play with all of the way I want to. But will show you what I have when I can. This is a sheet from the new My Mind's Eye collection. I also used some Basic Grey papers and some Prima flowers. This is my niece and her family - little Brayden is 4 now and has already undergone 3 open heart procedure and has another heart cath to be done in April. His cardiologist nominated him for Make a Wish and this was at the party for all the families who went to Disneyworld for Christmas.






The next card is for LOTV - using one of their adorable stamps and some papers from my latest Noel Mignon kit
Then I have the sketch from Card Patterns. Used some Basic Grey papers and a Unity Stamp for this one.

Last I have two cards I made using the digital images and stamps from Kim Hughes new blog - Paper Smooches. WOWSERS love her stamps!

Rainy Day Saturday !

WOW have alot to be happy about on this dreary day! I PASSED the CNRN! In the last 6 months I have studied like crazy and finished up both the CCRN (Critical Care RN) and the CNRN (Neuro Critical Care RN). I already had my CMC (Case Management certification). These first two were the hardest tests I have ever taken - EVEN if you passed when you get your score you realize that the questions were so hard that you just scored a passing percentage - meaning that out of 220 questions you probably got half right. Unreal. The good thing - I never have to take these tests again - as long as I keep up with my continuing education hours I will always have these! Thank goodness! Never want this kind of stress again. Now for the fun stuff.
Hope you saw my blog mid-week announcing that I have become part of the new Design Team for For Your Inspiration which Steph has started. We will have two challenges a month and you can create anything your little heart desires which is inspired by the sketch. Please join us - we are looking for new Guest Designers from the participants and can't wait to see how you are inspired! There are some really talented Design Team members that I am anxious to get to know better so check it out. Here's our first inspirational photo and here's the card I created from it. I used Core'dinations Cardstock - a piece of Webster's Pages and a Unity Stamp to make this.



The next card is for the sketch this week over at Unscripted Sketches. I used a Mo Digital image on this. Also please note when you stop by that they are looking for Design Team members so if we have inspired you please enter!
Next is the page I did for last week's color combo over at Color Combo Galore. Loved these colors. For this I used some Core'dinations cardstock (yum stuff!), prima flowers and Jillibean tags together with the adorable subject who is my sister's youngest grand-son, Cason, who she claims is always happy - judging by this I have to agree. I have this week's page done just can't get a picture until this rain lets up and I can see a little sunshine.

Then I have a card for you from Designed 2 Delight using this week's freebie. I used some Basic Grey papers for this one and an American Craft's rub-on. While you are there come by the Designer's blog, Card- Ideas and check out the weekly challenge there as well.
