Saturday and Unscripted Sketches

Ok guys bear with me I don't know what the problem is but this is the second time it's happened that I can't get the card to upload straight -grrrr! I've tried flipping it and everything and it won't go the right way - for some reason when I upload from my camera it's uploaded differently and I think this is what is causing it.
Well my boys are back from the coast after two days and night of fishing - didn't caught anything but a sting ray but they had fun. I had two days of REALLY quiet time here - got to share via the phone SYTYCD !!! Love that show. Brandy and I love watching it especially since she usually knows one or two of the contestants from her time in LA. She was excited to pass her personal trainer's certificate exam today - so off to Houston soon to go back for her Master's in Nutrition.
Today I went for almost a two hour bike ride - managed to get up at a reasonable time even after they BEAT me to death at work yesterday - what a day - challenging to say the least. Tomorrow I'm going with my friend kayaking - two weeks since I've been and I'm craving it!
Well here's my card this week for Unscripted Sketches - nothing but Core'dination's cardstock here together with a Spellbinder's die cut and an SRM sticker.

Thanks for looking!

Wednesday and Creative Scrappers and Colour Q

Well happy Hump Day! I go back to work tomorrow but it's only for one day and then two more off so not bad. Started my day with an hour and a half bike ride - loved it! Then had to take Jason in - was supposed to get a heart monitor to wear for a week but they changed it to a 24 hour one which wouldn't work because the boys all left for some fishing down at the coast for a couple of days. Will try again next week. UGH! Wasted trip. BUT I have gotten time to get some cards and a layout done. I wanted to play along over at Creative Scrapper's this week and here's my page - everything from a Noel Mignon kit except the background paper which was My Mind's Eye Miss Caroline.

Then I made this card for the color combo at Colour Q this week. Used some Core'dination's cardstock - some of the new 4 X 6 packs and a stamp from Unity Stamp Company.

Thanks for stopping by - your sweet words make my day!

Saturday with post #2

Loving playing along at CSI with their challenges. This is the color palette together with the evidence and testimony to be included on your page. Since this is their 25th challenge they added the additional challenge to lift a DT member's page. I lifted Annette Gearside and I must say it was a challenge - definitely out of my normal box. You can see her page here. BUT it was fun. These are pictures of my front yard taken from my front door. There's journaling on the little tag behind the photos describing how hard we have worked on our Dream House and now that our kids are almost (????) ready to move out that we are thinking of downsizing and traveling and moving up closer to where some of the older kids and our grandkids live. Saying good bye to this place will be hard - we have put our heart and soul into it and we adore it.

Thanks for stopping by!.

Saturday and Unscripted Sketches

Happy Saturday - tomorrow it's back to work for two days so gotta get everything together again and get in a work frame of mind. Went to Kerrville yesterday (me and hubby) and sat down by the river and sunned for awhile. Was really wishing I had a kayak - the river was perfect there for that! Then had a late lunch at a Chinese place and came home - nice getaway for awhile. We used to take the kids there when they were little to a little spot under a bridge where there was a waterfall and the water was shallow. Went by there but decided to just do the public park for the day.
Here's my card for Unscripted Sketches this week. Used some Authenticate papers and a May Arts Ribbon for this

Thursday - posting again!

Just enjoying time off - have been running and bike riding and waiting for Mac to invite me back to go kayaking again (her life has been a little busy!) Today not a whole lot - ran and then have just sat here and made a few cards and tried to get motivated to making a layout but hasn't happened. Got laundry done - all the beds clean but planning on a day date tomorrow - maybe Kerrville or Fredericksburg - will see.
Here's my card for the color challenge at Colour Q this week. Used Core'dination's cardstock here - Spellbinder's die cuts and a SRM sticker

WOW what a Thursday - For your Inspiration AND my day at Core'dination's with Bella Blvd!

Busy day and I finally get to post some of the layouts I've been working on for awhile. But first I want to post my card for the For Your Inspiration challenge - I love these challenges - they really encourage your creative juices. I'm not a big white on white person simply because I usually get it dirty before I finish and have to start over but I managed to get it done in one try this time. Stamps by Smooches, die cut by Spellbinders, Michael's ribbon and Core'dination's cardstock - can't really see it but I embossed the front. Check out the rest of the Design Team - they totally rock!

Next we have an exciting week for you over at Core'dinations - Ellen coordinated a swap with
Bella Blvd and they were sooo generous! We just couldn't seem to stop - awesome papers and embellishments! Here's some of the pages I did for the swap and if you check daily at Core'dination's blog you will see some awesome work by our Design Team.

June 20th reveal - Designed to Delight! and another challenge from CSI

As much as I love my job I am sooooo leaning towards my time retired. I have worked since I was 15 and yes I love what I do but would I rather sit here and scrap and work in my yard and just spend time with my hubby and family - a BIG resounding YES! I have gone overboard on biking, running and kayaking and have decided that I have earned the right to enjoy this time I have left with my hubby and family!
Today I have some cards for you with the new images from Designed 2 Delight - Faith outdoes herself month after month and I enjoy working with the entire team - we have some new members so be sure to see what they have to show this month.

Please check out all the other cards the rest of the Design Team has for you:

Thanks so much for blog hoppin' with D2D! Remember, you can enter our Blog Hop Challenge for a chance to win some FREE Digis! Also, all New Release Digital Stamps will be on Sale until June 23. Details HERE.

AND then I had to play along this week yet again (yep I'm addicted to these) with the challange over at CSI. This is my sweet granddaughter (who I delivered in the front yard) at her first HS prom. Isn't she beautiful! Core'dination's cardstock - scored and sanded and then selected pp from mostly My Mind's Eye. Chipboard from my friend Kim Jeffress - bless her hear!
thanks for stopping by!

For this I used the sketch over at Once Upon a Sketch

Saturday and Unscripted Sketches

WOW Saturday already!! Can't believe it all goes so fast - back to work on Sunday but just for two days. Spent a very productive day - went and signed our wills which has really been bothering me for a long time that we didn't have one so done! Then went and talked to Human Resources at work to see IF I want to retire early what I can expect and were happy with what they told us. Then just some errand running and lunch with my hubby. I've been working on trimming up all the trees (with three acres of huge oak trees and tons of them this is a project!) but my little deer friends (NOT) are VERY happy - you can almost hear the cow bell ringing that dinner is on the stove - looked out yesterday and there were about a dozen out there feasting on the limbs I had cut. Will have to get the truck out there and load it with all that I have cut down - hauling it in the wheelbarrow was really getting crazy - moving on to bigger and easier!
Tomorrow I'm off for another morning of kayaking!!! YEAH! Then grocery shopping and all the other stuff that comes along with going back to work. UGH.
But today I have a card for the Unscripted Sketches sketch this week with an extra challenge to use vellum. I stamped my flowers on vellum then laid it over pp. Using some of the fabulous Authenticate I got from Two Peas. LOVE LOVE their papers!
Stay tuned next week! Core'dination's has some fabulous pages for you with our most recent swap and if you don't figure it out immediately our DESIGN TEAM rocked it! Some amazing layouts in store - be sure to watch for it!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Thursday and Creative Scrappers

Decided to play along with Creative Scrappers this week - gave me an excuse to dive into my new Noel Mignon kit. I've been working on so many for Core'dination's I haven't had time to get into this yet. Work kicked my butt yesterday - one of those never ending days! But now three days off - went for a run early this morning and been doing nothing but scrapping since. Got caught up on all my cards for the month and now just playing. This is my little grandson, Matthew, always trying to be as cool as his big brothers and doing a pretty good job!

Thanks for stopping by!

Sunday and CSI

I so enjoy these challenges over at CSI - can't wait to see the next one every Friday evening and can't resist playing along if I'm in town. Today I did totally out of the ordinary for me and used patterned paper - usually I go with just Core'dination's cardstock but the colors had me searching through my papers. Used some Basic Grey and then some papers from a Noel Mignon kit.
I don't know why but I can sit here all day long and move papers and pictures around and then suddenly when it's either time to put it away and clean up for the night or I have to leave to go somewhere the creative juices start rolling and I can throw it all together in just a beat - maybe a few details to finish off later but the majority of the page just seems to fall in - who knows.
I had a fabulous morning - spent it with my friend kayaking. We were out for three hours (hate to see how bad my sunburn is but I did use sunscreen) but it was SOOOOO much fun. I picked out the kayak I want yesterday and hoping hubby surprises me with it really soon!

Then here's a few pictures from the coast - my son and his friend both caught sharks so they were ecstatic but here's a few I took one morning. First this is the huge pier they got to fish off of.A picture from the pier of the condo's we stay in when we come down.

The absolutely gorgeous sky from the end of the pier looking over the gulf. I wish I could wake up to this every morning!
My son and my dh examining the string where the shark he caught and was saving to show off must have bit through and got away.
Thanks for stopping by! Back to work on Monday - Happy Father's Day out there to all the Fathers!

Saturday and Unscripted Sketches

Saturday once again - man it flies by! We went to Rockport Tues thru Thursday so the boys could fish - they were both in heaven - each caught a 3 foot shark so they were really pumped up. Charlie and me just went sight-seeing, sunning and eating! Yesterday went to run some errands and went and looked at kayaks - of course I found one - Charlie's thinking on it but I think it's mine!. Today I'm going with my friend to kayak out at the lake - can't wait!
Today I have my card for Unscripted Sketches - got every bit of Authenticate at Two Peas and here's my first little creation with it! We used some of the papers with a swap at Core'dination's and I love this new line!

For your Inspiration

Once again it's time for another inspirational photo from For Your Inspiration. Please join us - you will have two weeks to get a card or layout done with this photo as your inspiration. We are sponsored this month by Bugaboo stamps. Love this image I used.

I stamped the background with Tim Holtz ink and a Unity Stamp - punched out Core'dination's cardstock in different colors and embossed it. Then I used some Copic Markers to ink the flowers and butterfly and then used some Pebbles Chalk to color the picture in different layers of color.

Thanks for stopping by and please join us - these inspirational photos are awesome!
