Sunday Sharing

Well Happy Easter - it's been totally low key here. Just being lazy. But I've been scrapping and just getting a few things done. Here's some cards and a page for you. First off is a card with the sketch over at Taylored Expressions. I used one of Faith's images from Designed 2 Delight that I had laying on my desk and some old Daisy Bucket papers.

Next guess what I got yesterday - my new Smooches Stamps! And I couldn't resist trying out as many as I could. So with the sketch over at Card Patterns I used this one together with some Echo Park papers and some Core'dinations Cardstock.

Then over at CPS I found this sketch. Used some Jillibean Soup Papers together with another new Smooches Stamp and some Core'dinations Cardstock.

Then over at Random Acts of Creativity I found another cute sketch and used yet another stamp, some Core'dinations which I embossed with a Tim Holtz folder and some Little Yellow Bicycle papers.

Then for the color challenge over at Color Combo Galore this week I found this color pallet. I used some Core'dination's Jillibean papers and then punched and embossed a sheet of Core, used some Prima flowers, Memory Makers embellishments and Webster's Pages letter stickers.
Thanks for stopping by - I love hearing from you!

For your Inspiration

For the challenge this week over at For Your inspiration Steph had this photo. For my card I used colors but check out the inspiration other design team members had this week as well. I used Core'dinations cardstock on this together with flowers I made with a punch and quilling.

Thanks again for stopping by!

Tuesday - Card Patterns and CPS

First over at Card Patterns I found this cute sketch and have been anxious to use a couple of my Unity Stamps. I stamped the cloud background and shaded it some, then stamped the motorcycle and paper pieced it. Then I used some Core'dination's Cardstock and embossed and sanded to create my road and also embossed and sanded the card base itself.

Then I loved this sketch at CPS this week and the Design Team had so much inspiration. I decided to use some of Kim's Hughes stamps from when she was with Cornish Heritage Farms and now with Paper Smooches. I used some of the Gemstone's collection of Core'dinations cardstock, then used a piece of Core for my base and stamped directly on it with my sentiment. I used my Xyron runner to adhesive the pieces together. Thanks for stopping by!

Sunday Posting and Core'dinations

Ok we have spent most of the last three days cleaning - one of those down and dirty ones that once you start you just keep finding more and more to do. I never even touched cleaning here in my scrap-room - going to save that for next week. I know it will take an entire weekend because I'll get side-tracked with all the stuff in here and have to scrap a little - clean a little but oh well. We'll see what comes out of it. For the weekend I had some Core projects to do so don'e have ALOT to show but I did find time to combine some Core with a couple of challenges. For the first one I found this at Color Combo Galore and was totally inspired with the colors to pull out some of the new papers I got from Core'dinations - the Glitter Silk - isn't it stunning! I embossed some white wash behind it which is a little hard to see but the core of the white wash it the tan color - then I used some more of the core base and embossed it as well as a piece of the gemstones collectioin. The picture (boy do I wish I could take credit for this) is by Mike Quinn, a head shot of Brandy taken out in LA for dance. Letter stickers Jenni Bowlin, flowers prima.

The next is the challenge over at Random Acts of Creativity that Chupa has started. I'm amazed at her work and couldn't resist. For this I used some of the Core'dination's Graphic 45 papers and cardstock and one of my new Smooches stamps.

Thanks so much for stopping by - please keep you fingers crossed for me for getting back on the Core'dinations team.

Saturday already!

Well had Friday off and felt like I didn't accomplish anything because I didn't scrap! How crazy is that? BUT I did do some down and dirty cleaning of my house. I'm about half way through but haven't even started tackling this scrap room. I know when I get here I'll be lost forever trying to clean out without stopping to create something from something I've found in the trashing.
Well first of all I have my card for Unscripted Sketches this week. I was inspired with this sketch to use one of the images from Designed 2 Delight that Faith has out. Isn't it cute! Papers are some American Crafts.

Next is an Easter card I create with some Core'dinations Gemstones and one of Faith's digital images. She is rocking out some fabulous stuff so check it out here!

Then I broke out my Noel Mignon kit for her challenge to "lift". First off here I have a page I lifted from my daughter, Kim. One of my favorite pages she's done. You can find her version here.

Then I lifted Blingpriness's layout for this page. I used here page where you can find here.
Thanks for stopping by - off to clean some more!

How about some Sunday cards?

I have a few cards for you today. First off I was inspired by the Color Combo over at Color Combo Galore this week to make a card. I made this card last week (different papers) but I love the adorable images from Faith at Designed 2 Delight and I have hoarded this paper from Piggy Tails for "rain" cards and couldn't resist.

Then I found this sketch over at Taylored Expressions this week and decided to combine some of the Core'dination's "Pearls" and a couple of Unity Stamps (which I embossed after stamping), Helmar's adhesive, to make this card.

Then the last card I did for the sketch over at Card Patterns, I used some of the new Core'dinations Black Magic combined with My Mind's Eye papers (which I think this particular sheet is a major favorite of mine) with some of the new Glitter Silk papers. The flower is from My Mind's Eye, the sentiment SRM stickers and the adhesive is Helmar's, Bead Queen's and company and the pin, Maya Road.

Thanks for stopping by - check out more Core'dinations project on my previous post - here!

My Core'dinations Creative Frenzy

What can I say about this fabulous cardstock? It's awesome. I've been honored to be a part of this fabulously creative team for quite awhile now and would love to continue to work with these talented women for even longer. I can't say enough about this cardstock. Over time I find that when I start on a page I hardly ever look for patterned paper - Core'dinations cardstock provides so many options with all their lines that I can create a page with just their product and love it. It's the first thing I grab and most of the time I never touch anything else. Here are my submissions for the DT call. First off I have used some Cosmo Cricket's cardstock for the background and the turquoise and sanded each of those, then embossed red cardstock with a Cuttlebug folder for the red pop and then along the bottom have used the Score-It to score red cardstock along the bottom - sanding the ridges. I embossed brown cardstock with a Tim Holtz folder and then cut out circles to use as to create flowers, used a Martha Stewart punch to create the border and a Jenni Bowlin button. Letter stickers are from Jenni Bowlin. The adorable little subject is my great-nephew, Brayden.

Next I created this from some more Cosmo Cricket Core'dinations cardstock as my background paper. I embossed, sanded and tore some Black Magic for my black on this page, used some embossing folders and sanded them for the swirls, then used a Fiskars crimper to crimp the Black Magic and then sanded and cut leaves from it. The butterflies were punches from Martha Stewart punches, then sanded to show the "core" beneath. The precious little girls are my granddaughter (L) and her best-est friend.

This last page is done with Core'Amour- Sable Collection - LOVE the Core'Amour line! I used one piece for my background page - sanded the underlayer, cut and sanded scrolls from another sheet, cut the title and sanded it from another sheet, stamped a butterfly with a Jenni Bowlin stamp. I used a Cuttlebug kit to cut these flowers - then when I had them together (quilled) I sanded the edges to give them a more textured look. Once again I used a Fiskars crimper to create my leaves, crimping them, sanding them and then free hand cutting them. For the flower in the corner I punches flowers and sanded them and layered them. For the butterflies I punched them from cardstock and Core'Amour and then sanded them. Thanks again for stopping by - please stop over at Core'dinations to see all the wonderful products that they have for you

Saturday again - YEAH!

Couple of cards this morning - please stop by later I will have some Core'dinations pages to show off for you. This first card is for Unscripted Sketches this week. I used one of Faith's images (from Designed2Delight) for this card and a SRM sticker.

This second card is for the challenge at Card Ideas this week and I used another of Faith's adorable Kayla images for this one. Please stop by and play along this week.

Oh and one last card. I love the bright color combo this week over at Color Combo Galore,
and immediate thought of this quote from Designed 2Delight - Faith's adorable digital images. These are some old Piggy Tail papers that I have kept and keep using down to just scraps now. But they have always been perfect for rainy day cards. If you haven't been by the Core'dinations blog this week please stop by the Design Team has put together some awesome work using the 'Core'dination's line of Jenni Bowlin cardstock. Then once again thank you for stopping by.

Card Patterns

Love this beautiful sketch at Card Patterns this week and finally got time to get a picture of the card I did for it. The stamps are from Unity Stamps - papers are some of the new My Mind's Eye I picked up at Achievers in Austin last weekend when I took my Mom out to lunch for her 84th birthday.

Thanks for stopping by - grr this looks crooked in the picture!

For your Inspiration

Everyone please join us this next two weeks for the current challenge over at For Your Inspiration. This challenge is using this photo for your inspiration - create whatever it inspires you to create and please come share with us. Please check over at our blog and see what awesome inspiration the rest of the Design Team has for you. These girls are really awesome and always blow me away with their work!

I pulled out some older Basic Grey for this, Core'dinations Cardstock and actually just stamped on the backside of my cardstock with a Unity Stamp - then embossed it.Thanks again for stopping by!

How 'bout some Sunday posting?

First I have a page I did with some of the new Core'dination' s Jenni Bowlin Amour line - isn't it awesome - the base is RED! What a perfect choice for this adorable picture of my little great-nephew, Cason.

Then this week's color challenge over at Color Combo Galore had some awesome colors. Since I have been dying to scrap these fabulous pictures taken by Mike Quinn (LA) of my daughter, Brandy, I decided to use these. These were a few of the "Mom or Disney" head shots he took - there are tons more that I can't wait to play with. Cardstock is Core'dinations of course, flowers Prima, punches Martha Stewart, some papers (Crate) from a Noel Mignon kit.

Thanks for stopping by.
