PEBBLES - new Release - Lil Buddy and Lil Miss

WOW loving the new lines Pebbles has come out with this time! So many goodies to work with. A couple of cards and a page I did with the new papers. I don't think I've been so excited about a new product as I am with the Candy Dots that Pebbles puts out. They are perfect - look like brads but all you have to do is stick them on!

WOW, two posts in one day! That's a first! The two-pager is using the Noel Mignon kit - love her kits. The card I did for Card Patterns weekly sketch. Playing with some stash of Dream Street I have - don't know why I have hoarded this and not pulled it out to use. I'm having SO much fun with it lately!
Showing off the Core-dinations

This month we were honored to get to work with My Little Shoebox to mix the Core-dinations papers with their paper lines. Also on the other page I used some of the Fiskars embossing plates together with my Cuttlebug plates to mix and match in a patchwork background for my page. These are our boys, from left, Chase (14) , Trent (22), Jason (17) and Hunter (15). Jason is uncle to all three. These guys have had such a fantastic bond ever since they were little - they love spending time together. Thanks for stopping by!

Another week gone by! Wow - had my MIL for the week - 89 -feeble and DETERMINED not to go to a Nursing Home. Bless her sweet heart. But as a nurse - it took me all of five minutes to tell my husband that this woman cannot be left alone for any length of time. I bathed her, cleaned her up, gave her her medicine - got her ready for bed and worried the entire week. Man I really don't want to go old. Her mind is there - she gets confused at night and can't hear worth nothing but she can remember stuff I've forgotten! But probably in the next 6 months or so we are going to have to either put her in a Nursing Home or take her here. BUT once she's here she will loose her Medicaid which will mean we will have to pay out of pocket for someone to stay with her while we work. For my work this week - I did a page just because I wanted to do a page for a change and played with some Dream Street - the second page I did for the CMK Friday Formula and the last card once again - more Dream Street and just because. Thanks for coming by!

IAAS kit for July just rocked my socks off - I was totally in love!!! My dear sister (after an unbelievable amount of prodding!), took pictures of my great-nieces while she was keeping them for a weekend. And she did an awesome job!!! This is Hailey playing at the park. With the awesome Lime Rickey in my kit this entire layout just made itself!
I'm not sure what the next week will bring - my MIL who is 89 and bordering on needing to be placed in a NH is coming to stay for a week. I really think they are bringing her here for me to evaluate on whether she's ready. She's slowly loosing it - becoming confused at night - scared to be alone at anytime. Totally breaks my heart - she's welcome to stay with us but if she does she will be torn from everything and everyone she's bben with for her entire life. We will see.

Playing with Core'dinations and the July Kit

This I am a Scrapaholic kit is just awesome! Packed full of all kinds of wonderful goodies - the Basic Grey Lime Rickey that is just so bright and fun, awesome tags, flowers and gorgeous ribbon. And on top of that my favorite product - "Core'dinations". Since I am a part of their design team as well I just wanted to tell you a little about using these papers. You can sand them, distress them, emboss them and do just about anything with them and they rock! On this card (sketch by Card Patterns), I used the Whitewash Orange and embossed it with my Cuttlebug embossing machine and then sanded over it to show the core color. The different Core'dinations Whitewash, Black Magic and Chocolate Box all have either white, black or brown on the top and a color core so that you can sand them down to show the underlying color - the bonus is when you open the card the inside is the core color that you can stamp, write or on create on again. The Luxe journaling card was perfect behind my core to use just like patterned paper and the little bird from the Lime Rickey is so darn cute I want to use it on everything. Enjoy your kit - I am! I included a close up so you can see how the core comes through - the darker the core color the more it shows through.

I Am A Scrapaholic July Kit!

WOW! Would you look at the kit we go this month! I just got this all yesterday and I can hardly wait to dig into it. Lots of the Basic Grey Lime Rickey and so many embellishments and ribbons and all that I'm sure will be perfect. Also included in the kit and dear to my heart - "Core'dination" I can't wait to put the Lime Rickey with the Core'dinations! Sure to be a great combo. Keep watching - hopefully by the end of the weekend I'll be posting some inspiration made from this awesome kit. The bright colors are just screaming at me!
